Kailash Tirth Seva · since 2018

Feeding yatris at 18,000 feet.

For lakhs of devotees, Mount Kailash is a once-in-a-lifetime pilgrimage. Food is one of its hardest challenges. Madhuban took it on.

The story

A first for India, Nepal and China

In 2018 Madhuban became the first Indian company to serve food on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra inside China. The collaboration between India, Nepal and China was widely covered in the press.

We set up seven kitchens along both main routes to Kailash. They gave yatris nutritious, homely vegetarian food where the thin air makes every meal matter.

"I had never dreamt of such a wonderful service."

★★★★★

We were told the biggest challenge on the Kailash Mansarovar Yatra is not the weather or the terrain, but healthy food. We were served really delicious and nutritious food at all places.
